DISCRIMINATION
Every employee should be free of illegal discrimination at work. Employment decisions should be based on the quality of your work - not your sex, race, national origin, or other protected characteristic. Unfortunately, in the state of California, illegal discrimination at work occurs every single day.
In the state of California, the legislature enacted rules and regulations protecting employees against illegal discrimination. The California legislature protects employees against illegal discrimination if the employee is part of (or perceieved to be a part of) the following PROTECTED CLASSES:
PROTECTED CLASSES (ATTRIBUTES) FOR ILLEGAL DISCRIMINATION
Gender and Sex
Race and National Origin
Disability and Medical Condition
Pregnancy Discrimination
Age Discrimination
Discrimination due to Gender Identity or Gender Expression
Discrimination based on Military / Veteran Status
Discrimination against victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking
